Yesterday I signed The Kid up for middle school. The last six (seven, depending on when you start counting) years went so quickly. Six more and he’ll be 18 and finished with high school. I have a feeling the next six will go even more quickly

Playing a little ‘Pick-up Sticks’ in the backyard. After the heavy, wet snow in October and the strong winds last month, the grass is littered with twigs and small branches. (There were many big branches, but those were removed earlier.)
I’m looking forward to using them as kindling this weekend.
