Fall

Every year we take a head up into the mountains to look at Aspens. This year we took a different route. It was interesting to see new places, but not to be as pretty as the one we usually take. We didn’t take many photos, but here is one of them:

Earlier in the week we had a frost warning, so I sent K out to pick the remaining tomatoes. It didn’t frost, btw 🙂

This last one is the view from our bedroom window. The colours in this photo are not even close to what they actually are. The sky is deep blue that contrasts well with the gold of the leaves. The leaves are so bright, they seem to glow. When the morning sun shines on them, they fill the room with golden light.

Picking Up The Thread

September was just not our month. First the car accident, then M’s broken tooth and diving accident and a number of other little things that just piled up on us and sucked the life out of..life.

Here we are halfway through(!) October and things are better. The car is back. M got his tooth fixed – but his nose still hasn’t healed completely.

Nevertheless, I’m going to take another stab at this.

A little from Column A, A little from Column B..

I would have liked my first official post to this blog to be about something more fun, but considering how this weekend went, 50/50 is about the best I can do.

I was really looking forward to the weekend. With my new schedule at work, this was my first Friday off which meant a four day weekend for me. Mostly I planned to catch up on things around the house, but also to de-stress from the hectic back to school chaos of the last couple of weeks.

Instead, life became even more stressed and chaotic when my jag became the filling in a three car sandwich. It could have been much worse which is something to be thankful for.

Thursday and Friday were taken up with aches and pains, dealing with insurance and making arrangements. Monday we got ambitious and decided to tackle some yard work. That was cut short when I stepped on a nail and had to get a tetanus shot 🙁

We did manage one bright spot, though. Monday evening we went to the drive-in to see ‘Despicable Me’. Very fun time 🙂 We hadn’t made it to the drive-in at all this summer, so we were glad to get a chance before it closed down for the winter.
