One thing about having a garden that’s been neglected for several weeks, there’s plenty of bind weed to gather for future baskets. Gathered some other leaves while I was at it.

It took a bit over three days, but the big move for The Kid is finally completed.
Garden Update
We planted a red currant bush last year. Today we picked our first fruit.
Basketry
The videos make it look so easy. It is not -at least it hasn’t been for me. My first attempts fell apart, so I am unreasonably proud of this little basket.
An Evening at the Ballet
Last night we went to the ballet to see Alice In Wonderland. It was quite different from the ballets we’ve usually been to. We knew that just reading the cast list and seeing strange entries like ‘Guys in White’ or ‘Alice’s Legs’. But as you watched the story unfold, it all made sense.
The sets and costumes were very colorful and creative, as was the way they achieved the strange occurrences in the story. The music followed the story well, and set the perfect mood for each scene.
Unfortunately, photos are not allowed, but the Mad Hatter did come out to greet the audience after the performance. 🙂
